Reiki Master Teacher
Sondra Scott founded Aesthetics by Sondra. Sondra has been
in the skin care industry since 1970. In addition to her skin care knowledge;
she was also in the management field since 1969. She sold skin care products on
an independent basis until 1981. In 1981, she enrolled at the Career Academy of
Beauty in Seal Beach, California, and received her California Board of
Cosmetology aesthetic license in August of 1982. After graduating, she was
employed by a salon in the Bixby Knolls area, as an aesthetician and salon
manager. After leaving her first salon job, Sondra gained expertise from working
at yet another salon before opening her own doors in 1987.
In addition to her being a salon owner, she is
also an educator. From 1988 to 1990 Sondra traveled throughout the country
teaching aestheticians advanced skin care for the American Institute of
Aesthetics. She currently lectures and educates independently throughout the
country. Sondra shares with
aestheticians throughout the country her procedures and ideas. She believes that
the more aestheticians know, the more prepared they are for their clientele.
Sondra keeps up-to-date with the newest technology by attending continuing education seminars. Because continuing education is important to her, she always made it a policy that her staff take continuing education classes and attend conferences and seminars on a regular basis.
Since 1987, Aesthetics by Sondra developed a strong working relationship with physicians in the Long Beach
area and Lake Havasu City, AZ. These physicians frequently referred their patients to ABS for deep cleansing treatments and pre-and post operative treatments.
In 1995, Sondra became a Reiki Master/Teacher.
Sondra was a volunteer for the “Distant Healing Network”.
Sondra sold her Long Beach, California location in September 1999 and relocated to Lake Havasu City
in 2000 and opened her second salon.
In 2005, Sondra was presented with an opportunity
to work in a medical environment at
Ocean Plastic
Surgery Center in Los Alamitos, California.
OPSC is owned by Dr. William P. Aiello a renowned Board Certified Plastic
Surgeon in Orange County. Dr. Aiello's interest was to open a Medical Spa
within his own practice, knowing Sondra's expertise and knowledge in salon
management, the position was presented to her and the
position was accepted.
In October of 2007 my job ended with OPSC; June 2008 Sondra
relocated back to Arizona and re-opened her own salon in Lake Havasu City, AZ.
